I was a bit younger, so listened to early punk on Stuart Henry / Radio Luxembourg, then had a prog phase, & came back to punk / post punk via reggae in 1978

Maybe later in the year..

I've just bought a load of Motown repros, but it's mainly fairly standard stuff.

Hi #WeekendSingles posse πŸ‘‹πŸΌ
I posted this yesterday and, apart from Bruce, crickets.
So, a few shares would be much appreciated to help out an inexperienced traveller.
Thanks πŸ™πŸΌ

I haven't found great shops in Sydney or Melbourne yet. Both cities are so huge that a lot depends on where you are staying

Sydney - There are a couple in Surry Hills - Title and Recordstore worth trying. Red-eye had a ton of singles in boxes but they had been thoroughly picked over

As for packing... Leave lots of space for your return journey 😁

Home Princeton Record Exchange is one of the leading independent record stores in the world. We’ve been buying and selling music and movies since 1980. We are located in historic downtown Princeton, NJ, ab...

US - If you get a chance this is great but it's a bit of a trek from NYC

Princeton Record Exchange prex.com

Also worth considering mail order options if there are particular US releases you're after...

Ash I've got a few suggestions

NZ - Real Groovy - Auckland (I didn't get to Southbound or Flying Out),
Penny Lane, Flying Nun, Tower Junction - Christchurch
Slow Boat, Flying Nun - Wellington

Singles are expensive though $5 a fairly normal price

Punk was certainly the antithesis...

Lots of long / multi part songs. Fragile might be the best way in, & if track 1 doesn't grab you then maybe you should bail straight away

I think the vocals can put people off Yes. Accrington's finest singer btw.
