Quick ball point pen sketches of Hollis Foxglove and her twin brother Jamie (James). Trying to get my hand used to drawing humans again, and trying to figure out how to basically get them to look like gender-swapped versions of each other. Bonus doodle of them as kids in school uniform.

I've loved the name Kat/Kathryn/Katherine since I was quite young. So much so that I used the name on two different characters over the years. When I finally decided to legally ditch my birth name I didn't have to think too hard about my new first name.

There's a long story here about this character's name, and how she and I have shared names twice in the last (redacted) years. I decided she needed a name that was not mine, as she is not me.

So, she's Hollis now. And it fits her really well in my mind. Now to finally work on her story.

Cheap old houses, y'all. It's still way better (and cheaper) than renting.

Last night was one of those "why did I buy a house??" nights. Discovered a hole in my roof, because rain water was running down the wall. It's fixable, and I've got it under control, but I did yell at the wall and curse the previous owner for a while.

I feel like I just recovered from the last time change...

This is not a critique on people, it is just a think piece about how things changed online, and it hurts me seeing artists younger than I apologising for going a week (!!!!) without posting new pieces. Your art should not be content for scrolling-by strangers, this sucks so bad.

Even in Michigan our freeways have a max speed of 85mph, and that's only some of them (most are 75). I can't see 180mph being a thing you'd want unless you were specifically using your car on a race track.

That's a really good idea! I think my problem is that I'm not sure what I want exactly, and going in with a vague idea always ends up very expensive XD

If anyone has any recommendations for (online) anime figure shops let me know!

Space is definitely a factor! I have plenty of room for a 24", though it does still feel really big. If I lived in a small apartment it would absolutely feel like it took up far too much room.

The main problem is most of the figures I really like are super expensive... which is a no from me unless it's something I really really love.

Granted, I haven't looked very hard to find any yet.

A friend gave me a JJK figure for my birthday last year, and I keep thinking I should find more anime figures to add to the collection. Fushiguro looks so lonely on the shelf, since my Star Fox toys only come up to his knees.

I've got a 24 inch Huion, which feels just right to me. I had a 16 inch in the past (with a friend right now) and it felt too small to me. I like having a lot of menus up, so that does tend to crowd the screen tbh. Now I should just use it more! :D

Two hours of rollerskating has, once again, kicked my butt. In a really fun way though. The only way to get me to work out without resenting it is to make sure it's something I find fun.
