ok looks like it was just a hiccup on my feed. after removing a few of those politically charged posts, my feed seems to have reverted to being purely a treasure-trove of art and kind and welcoming posts.

i really do hope i was overreacting ^^;

besides, i get my news from other sources outside of social media. i deliberately separated them so i can enjoy the art in my feed without being rudely interrupted by angry people being angry again because they keep saying that the world is ending and humanity is evil or some shit like that

like i left twitter precisely to get away from those exact same politics and needless drama (political or not)
if i'm gonna have to go through all that again, ig i'll just have to either aggressively filter my main feed or hope that there's a popular art-centric platform somewhere out there

i gotta admit i'm getting a little uneasy about what's gonna happen to bluesky now that everyone (including me, admittedly) are migrating here from twitter.
i genuinely felt great here the moment i stepped in bc it was a treasure trove of art
now my feed is full of politics and needless drama again
