But what matters now is getting behind the team and staying up.

The players need to know they are backed by the fans. Backs against the wall. WHL needs to be hostile to the opposition, not ourselves.

Pretty sure this pushes them further in the direction of making the least impactful decision and putting it on the coaches to challenge for e.g a penalty / red card.

It also removes the pressure for quick decisions as it now becomes an active choice to ask for one, so we'll spend ages a la rugby.
