How is Stratton going to do ANYTHING differently in a Dem-controlled Senate (if a miracle happens) on "affordable housing," @abundanthousingil.bsky.social? What does she offer that is radically different and more effective than Raja or Robin on affordable housing?

This effort to promote Stratton as a serious candidate solely because @govpritzker.illinois.gov owes her is so exhausting at this point. Reminds me of Fetterman in 2022 and PA voters electing him out of name recognition ("oh yeah, the lieutenant governor, sure!") And we all saw how that turned out

Name a single accomplishment of Stratton's as lieutenant governor. In fact, name ANYTHING that a lieutenant governor actually does. Why would you pick her over @robinkelly.house.gov, who has actually legislative experience? Worried about Pritzker and his money punishing you?

And his story should also hammer home that it was one of the candidates in the race (Felon Paxton) who got the Texas Supreme Court to disenfranchise Dallas county voters.

In a perfect world EVERY voter would vote early of course. But there are also independent voters out there who wait until the last minute to decide on a Dem candidate (argh). And we need their votes too. But if they’re voting on Election Day they’ll be messed with. What do we do about late deciders?

People are going to vote on Election Day in red and purple states and districts. That’s just how many voters are. Even if the Dems scream at people “you will be messed with by Republicans if you wait until E-day,” some people just don’t vote early. I don’t know what the solution to that is

I've seen enough

Early returns: as expected, Crockett dominating areas w/ significant Black electorates in DFW, but Talarico holding his own among white suburban Dems and we don't know much about the rest of the state yet.

So, in launching a huge bombing campaign on Iran they apparently didn't plan for:

- Who takes over;
- Interceptor shortages from sustained drone retaliation;
- How to defend US bases in the region;
- Threats to ships in the Strait of Hormuz; and
- How to evacuate Americans with airspace closed.
