The relationship of art and social media like this is becoming more toxic. I don’t feel good on xtwitter anymore. I feel like I can only post art here, newgrounds, or specific discord groups. I am just glad I am not alone. Keep fighting because something has got to give.

One twitter user argued that small artists can’t grow here. Which isn’t really true cause I got more followers here quicker than on the shithole site. There aren’t many alternatives that are not ai-toxic, so we have to work with what we got now.

A lot of companies seem to be under the impression that we only care if gAI was used in the final product and using it for concept art/placeholder art is ok.
gAl is poison that should be nowhere near any creative process. Not a single asset. Not a single placeholder sign.

They are running excuses around it again. If there is ai in the concepts, then it gets translated into the final product, still ai generated slop. If they don’t trust employees to come up with their own ideas, then they should not start the project. Give them an inch, they take a mile.

Agreed. I’m tired of the excuses. Even using ai for ideation just renders the entire project null and void. It’s not yours at the start, it’s not yours to keep at the end.
