It’s easy to feel disheartened some days, but I keep coming back to this speech:
“I hope you’ll keep teaching each other, and learning from each other, and building bonds of friendship that will enrich your lives and enrich our world for decades to come.”
This is why we keep going. 🌍📚

Also today, we wrapped a 3-week decision modeling workshop at Vandy, training 11 leaders from LMIC Ministries of Health. It's incredibly intense but rewarding. Seeing them bring their country’s needs into the classroom and leave with new skills and networks reminded me of everything I believe in.

Then at the DMV, this afternoon, the woman helping me asked casually, “Why did you come to the US?”
And I just said, “To study.” That choice shaped everything: my MPH, my PhD, and the community I’ve found here.

Some news came out that hit hard, heartbreaking for anyone who came to this country to learn, and for those of us who now teach.
