Hi 👋 I keep coming back to check in but still feel tied to Twitter because so many moots are there. But I hate Elno so much I may have to give it up anyway.

He clearly saw something in me that even I didn’t recognize. I owe my entire career, and life really, to his vision. He was not interested in answers because he understood that questions are the drive that make us who we are. They are our breath. While the world has lost a remarkable artist, I’ve lost a dear friend who imagined a future for me and allowed me to travel in worlds I could never have conceived on my own. I can see him now, standing up to greet me in his backyard, with a warm smile and big hug and that Great Plains honk of a voice. We’d talk coffee, the joy of the unexpected, the beauty of the world, and laugh. His love for me and mine for him came out of the cosmic fate of two people who saw the best things about themselves in each other. I will miss him more than the limits of my language can tell and my heart can bear. My world is that much fuller because I knew him and that much emptier now that he’s gone. David, I remain forever changed, and forever your Kale. Thank you for everything."

A month or so ago I saw a post by someone saying "we should all admit that Neil Gaiman has always been a shitty writer." That whole knee jerk revisionism. No, man, that's part of the whole horror. He's an internationally recognized writer. Objectively a good writer. But he's also a fucking monster.

Also, If you live near L.A. & have clothes you’ve been meaning to donate please take them to one of the fire shelters or relief groups. For several days after their house burned my mil lived in pants someone had donated to the shelter & a shirt a woman at the hotel gave her!

I lived in California for over half my life, and in Los Angeles for nearly a decade. I am so gutted to see so much of it, and so many lives, destroyed by these fires. 💔 It’s beyond anything I’ve ever seen before. Half of my extended family is evacuated but they’re all safe at least

Man, I lived in LA for a decade and these fires are devastating! My family in Brentwood is now evacuating (just over 6 years after my in-laws lost their house in a different fire). My heart just breaks

My husband always says he does not believe in guilty pleasures because we shouldn’t feel guilty about things that bring us joy (obvs barring most crimes & bodily harm to others ok)

Mac and cheese night with my kid and niece and these kids bugging me about using “the wrong cheese” (and they’re right. I couldn’t get sharp cheddar and had to use medium). Still delicious though. My tips are: use at least one sharp & one mild cheese and use some ricotta in your roux ☺️

Gonna be so hilarious when Taylor changes all her outfits tonight and ruins everyone’s Mastermind score 😂🙃

It was pretty good, Cynthia absolutely smashed it, Jonny was perfect, Ariana was v funny. Had some minor qualms but really enjoyed it
