GOP Rep. Has Truly Nasty Advice For SNAP Recipients Whose Benefits Are About To Expire Rep. Clay Higgins (R-La.) appeared to have little sympathy Thursday for the millions of Americans whose federal food benefits are set to expire Saturday.

Well, congratulations to the Congressman it takes a special kind of moral decay to look at struggling families and decide the problem isn’t hunger, it’s “crack.” Bravo. Nothing says “public service” quite like mocking the poor from the comfort of a taxpayer-funded office.
