yeah, it played to a few biases i'm working with:

- i don't super-love vercel, but specifically...
- i don't like framework lock-in for hosting (i want an open web)
- been thinking about the SaaS-pocalypse a bit and interesting to see it cannibalizing a bigger player like vercel

imo, at a certain point downloads just starts to reflect CI runs. so the number of new projects installing a package might not be going up, but the number of project builds on virtual machines is going up.
