In November, the bank sent me a letter warning that my account was inactive. By the time I received it after to the Canada Post strike, the only remedy was to "visit my local branch." Linked PayPal account is used for a single online subscription. Writing's on the wall, eh?

Four years after my first opera gig in the USA and two-ish after my most recent (COVID- and injury-affected) one, I just closed my American bank account. Feels surprisingly emotional -- yet another loss to grieve but also a bit of a relief.
