Takes some doing, but I think Kemi Badenoch has found the policies to tank the economy even quicker than Liz Truss if given the chance.

Fantasy tax and spending cuts plus trade chaos with neighbours from leaving the ECHR. Great stuff!

After listening to that awful speech on the @mrjamesob.bsky.social show this morning, I really do struggle now on the question "Who would you least want in government next election?" I despise Farage and his outfit but at least he, i think, pretends to like the working class. Awful woman!

β€œNigel Farage is wrong in principle, his approach is racist, and we oppose it”

β€œNigel Farage is right on immigration, but he doesn’t have the skill or experience to deliver his plans”

At some point, the government has to pick *one* of these narratives, instead of veering wildly between the two.

Right-wing media fluffs Farage for years, to the point where he now leads the polls, and then start whining about Starmer being 'obsessed' when he starts telling some long overdue home truths. It's actually hilarious.

So was *The Sun* β€˜inciting violence’ against Nigel Farage in 2014 when its editorial described his racist comments on my show as β€˜racism, pure and simple’? And would somebody who interviews these ghouls on a regular basis at least ask them this question!

Nigel Farage doesn’t think the Prime Minister should have free speech in this country. But he’ll tell foreigners that yours is somehow under threat from the Prime Minister. He’s a whiny little liar. Always has been. Always will be.

Good evening @mrjamesob.bsky.social
You mentioned a programme today that you listened to with Dan Neidle about The Laffer Curve. Ive had no luck finding it. Could you point me in the right direction? Ive had a brief look on iPlayer and BBC Sounds.

Ok. They’ve pissed me off.

I’m back to tell you 3 things about ID cards:

1. Migrants ALREADY HAVE biometric ID cards & govts have been trying to digitise them for years w repeated fuckups & failures causing complete chaos - they don’t work, you do not want that system for you.

"Nigel Farage has refused to rule out a link between paracetamol and autism" is the lead item on LBC News.

Why?

Why?

He's not a doctor, he's not an expert, he's not a Minister, he's not the PM, he's not the opposition. Why is his bullshit the most important item on the news?

Why?

The average main applicant who received a visa 2019-2023 made about 45% more than the average person in the UK.

The average dependent who received a visa 2019-2023 made about 25% less than the average person in the UK.

The average person who received a humanitarian visa made about 33% less than the average person in the UK.

When we take a weighted average of all categories of 2019-2023, the average new migrant who arrived 2019-2023 made Β£24,881 in FY 2023-2024. This is about 4% more than average earnings - even when I have made optimistic assumptions about native-born earnings and excluded any self-employment income for migrants.

Putting all this together, @lgilbert.co find the following.

It's not that Farage is (just) exaggerating/overstating - he is simply lying about migrants, jobs, wages and benefits.

Media should be very clear about this.

As well as the fantasy Β£234 bn, journalists should also be clear Farage's claims most new migrants don't work, and those who do are on low wages, are entirely false.

In fact, 1.8 million recent migrants are on payrolls (others will be self employed).
