My pleasure!
Fingers crossed we can get all the way to Jeff's illustration.

Such a great book, 5 days left to back it on Kickstarter...
Cool stretch targets have hit already and there's a couple more amazing ones to go .

Glad I'll get to watch a little of the pre show. I'm off out to a charity event for International Women's day at 1pm ET so the next week until the episode is released is going to be torture πŸ˜‚

You'll likely be glad to know your 'wtf have a just read?' excerpt got me to check your website progress update and find the free first chapter on Patreon. I'm now all in and eagerly waiting for Bounty Inc next year! πŸ˜‚

Hahaha! Yes Drizzt without the fighting wouldn't be quite the same story. 20 books about a very long lived Emo dark elf struggling with self worth, whether he was truly good and trying giving his friends lots of verbal encouragement.

I've heard some nonsense about fantasy books on the Internet but this is a surely a new low.
They aren't essential in a great fantasy book but they've been a massive part of the genre since it's inception. Imagine Tolkien never bothering to write the battle of Helm's Deep?

Exactly!
Some people really need to stop getting angry at things which don't impact them in the slightest.

This is one bookish 'controversy' I've just never got. If you don't need them, ignore them. If you do, they're there to help you to make your own choice.

Great review thanks. As usual when you find a book you really like, your enjoyment jumps off the page. I was already sold on the premise of Lightfall but I'm even more eager for Jan 14th having read this. Cheers

Makes much more sense to me. To reflect the Origins episode we may well see them defeating many warders first, then running across Mat.

Quick answer!
I do agree it looks like there's something there (big numbers?) but after Elayne/Elaint I'm no longer sure I believe my eyes πŸ˜‚

Could it be a tattoo they've covered for the actor?

If you've not read them yet try David Wragg's Tales of the Plains series (The Hunters & then Company of the Wolf) were two of my favourite reads this year and many before. The audio books are truly wonderful too.

I'm just about to do this. It's such a great world and the context of The Daughter's War will add so much more to TBT.
I'm not sure whether @buehlmeister.bsky.social will write more books in this series, I hope so, but these two will be read again and again.

This is a brilliant article on how the Expanse series came to be. A fascinating insight on the journey from concept to the classic book and TV series it now is.

American health care absolutely. But even in the UK I'm surprised that Mutuals & Building Societies aren't more popular for exactly this reason.

I started Rosamund's audiobook version this morning for exactly the same reason.

I loved the audio book for Company of the Wolf. Certainly up there with my favourites of 2024.

Saw this and realised I'd never heard of Redemption's Blade. Just looked it up and what a great concept it has. It's now joined my December reading list too!

Frequently yes but it can be the other way around if the idealists are struggling against corruption/a complex world. Can't think of a Fantasy example off hand... maybe the Empire Trilogy, but I'd suggest that The West Wing shows it can be done to great success.

Lots of great bargains to be had here. I've found books from 5 new authors (to me at least) and a few more.

I can vouch for the fact that this set of books is amazing. One of my favourite book series/sequences and Broken Binding special editions.

There were always a lot of likenesses between the two.
Going to catch up with Dune Prophecy this weekend so I'll keep this in mind.

With all the different antagonists it's very hard to give them enough time. No idea how they'll manage multiple Forsaken let alone Fain next series.
