I've once again tried to redesign Nathaniel so he's not as hard for me to draw consistently and so he also looks a bit more iconic and distinct, but I am afraid I diverged way too much from the design he's had in the last 5 years.
What do you think?

Despite this, she cannot fully suppress her inherently good nature. As much as she tells herself that she's indifferent, excuse after excuse, she ultimately never turns down a person in need.

The ideals she once idealized her mother for took on a more bitter taste to her, and she began to resent the prospects of heroism and self sacrifice, growing estranged from her druidic teachings as well, setting her sole sights on survival, and vengeance.

The cultist and his ilk left the village shortly after, their quest completed, as Lucy died painfully from a curse that seemed to burn her from the inside.

Guilty and grieving, Lily sought revenge, taking up the alias Amaterasu, in reference to her mother's former title.

...but when she caught the two of them, her mother and Urtrix, fighting on the rooftops, a panicked call from Lily quickly distracted the combatants, and resulted in Lucy taking a scythe to the chest to protect her.

Unfortunately, her peaceful life was cut short when her town was raised in her sleep; set ablaze by a cult. An old enemy of Lucy's, Urtrix, who had been waiting for her to gather rust to finish her off for good. Lily used her gifts to absorb fires and save as many of her neighbors as she could...

Her mother taught her the way of the planet's stewards, and how to use her innate proficiency with fire magic to cleanse blights, and produce fertile soil for new life. They carved matching kitsune masks, Lily's white and red, and her mother's, black and blue.

Descended from a lineage of yokai, Lily grew up in the druidic village of Kilnheim, nestled deep in the Cloakwood. Primarily raised by her mother, Lucy, the Archdruid, and renowned retired hero of the realms, under the alias "Tsukuyomi."
