Health care is a big one and in general solidarity. Limiting AI usage is also great for everyone. But the way SAG AFTRA goes about it it will sadly not protect these creatives longterm. What they fight for is just a "for now" solution. The core problem sadly remains which is the entire AI wave...

From my own experience with the studios we work with, we can only do so much. You can not threaten financial penalties because that just punishes the actor. You can only ask them what is up, ask them to pay them or threaten to go for a different studio (What also sucks for the actor). The latter

All these things you are asking for are studio issues tho. Why not put the studio into the spotlight then that they are mishandling the funds they get. Why not call out how SAG AFTRA approves of AI movies because they got money for it. You wont get protection. You will get less jobs.

The payments are handled by the studio, not Hoyo. Hoyo sends funds to studio and the studio pays. The studio did not do that. So Hoyo helped Corina move to a new studio to solve this issue because they can not pay them directly. Corina is making a studio issue a Hoyo issue.

I mfing wish. I get that a lot of these actors stick to SAG AFTRA solely for health care benefits. But given those are tied to jobs and SAG AFTRA supporting handing out these to AI, the days of these beneifts are also numbered. I feel sorry for the members.

If you truly support Corina, give awareness to SAG AFTRA actively supporting giving job opportunities over to AI. Because the one they go on strike for and hazard their career for does not care. They are on their own and only cling to SAG for health care benefits.

Yes but cognosphere gives your employer the funds whose responsibility it is then to pay you. We do this with all studios we work with for our games. We only pay the freelancers without any studio directly. So why make an employer issue a cognosphere issue.

Thing is, it feels mute to sign one of these with SAG AFTRA because SAG AFTRA supports AI anyway, they just want a piece of the money pie for it. If this agreement was done with another institution then maybe but signing it with SIG is like signing on toilet paper.

SAG AFTRA is actively making the future for creative work worse and sell it systematically off to the so called enemy and if you guys are on strike you should also strike SAG AFTRA and withhold the funding and support you give them.
