I found out a month ago that I get AEW Collision through Crave (🇨🇦 streamer), and decided to start watching regularly, and I've been quite enjoying it. I haven't watched wrestling regularly since about 2011/2012 or so, but AEW is bringing me back in.

Weird thing is, I see articles about Olympians winning all the time, and many of them have spouses watching in person. Why does it matter if her famous one happens to be there? Her victory should be the story, not her famous husband. Do better. We're supposed to be past this.

Clearly, it's working. AEW is becoming an alternative not just for fans, but it's becoming the place to be for young wrestlers too, and not just a stepping stone to WrestleMania. Young wrestlers are viewing it as a good place to see out their careers.

so Kris Statlander can pop up in a Rumble only to get dumped out of the ring unceremoniously. AEW are just over here quietly making the case, with their talent and product, that they belong and that what they do has every bit as much a place as any other wrestling promotion.

AEW doesn't try to be another WWE, but they also don't ignore the hype and background of a wrestler coming over from WWE to them. They're not trying to "compete" for ratings or trying to get into WWE's good graces so that MJF can get squashed by Randy Orton at WrestleMania or

TNA tried. They were establishing certain elements as notable milestones, but everything fell off the relevancy radar completely after guys like Hogan and Russo came in. AEW's team are clearly learning from all those mistakes, though.
