Oh boy, I can't wait to not own that.

...or if we can tell, to stop caring. Gen-ai is a fundamentally fascist technology. It's designed to undermine truth and reality. It's designed to turn your brain to mush. Making people blithely share stuff like this helps that end goal.

While BSky does remind me of early-ish Twitter days, Pre-Musk Twitter, to say that it's the same thing as what Twitter is now, is, uh, something.

*Looks around* This appears to be Blue Sky. *Points at the ruinous husk in the distance* I believe Twitter is that way.

I watched the vid of his debut so you don't have to: the crowd went mild. It was an anti-pop.

As soon as I saw that news yesterday I thought on you.

I agree with this, and I also feel like dives to the outside in general are overdone to the point of barely moving the needle for audience interest anymore. Plus, there's so few people who know how to take them both safely and in a natural looking way, but that's another reason not to do them.

It's next day, as far as I know.

You'd never know it's there. I searched for it specifically, they never advertise it.

I found out a month ago that I get AEW Collision through Crave (πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ streamer), and decided to start watching regularly, and I've been quite enjoying it. I haven't watched wrestling regularly since about 2011/2012 or so, but AEW is bringing me back in.

I got second-hand frustrated from @atrupar.com's feed. I don't know how Aaron actually watches him. Good grief.

I keep hearing that the Epstein files are so big if we held everyone accountable everything would collapse. And no it wouldn’t. These rich guys don’t do any actual work. They aren’t actually important or useful they are just rich.

While I expect nothing from the GOP governors, I am both surprised and disappointed that the Dem governors are going to this at all. Major failing to not stand with their two fellow governors, even worse failing to their constituents to entertain the fascist regime.

Based on what you've tried and said your son likes in this thread, it sounds like he would really like Grunge. Try Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, and Screaming Trees in particular.

Some reporter could write the headline: "Skeleton in Matt Weston Wins Gold in Skeleton" and be both technically correct and hilarious.

Also, Skeleton should be the one sport (and also maybe Luge) where screaming the entire time is totally acceptable and fully expected.

No, it's that it's an infoweapon built by evil billionaire oligarchs to disenfranchise labour, surveil, destroy art, poison all information on the internet, spread disinfo & propaganda, poison education, & make a pliant, uncritical population that accepts any content fed to them by the ruling class.

You're the only ones who can do anything about him. Get out on strike and stay there until Trump's gone. Grind the economy to a halt. No more, "10-2 protest on Saturday if the weather is nice" bullshit. General strike like your country depends on it, because it does.

You keep attempting to meet the GoP in the middle, but they keep changing where the middle is, and by the time you're done chasing their middle ground, you won't recognize that they've lured you all the way to their side with nothing to show for it. Stop this and actually stand against them.

My first thought was, "Cancel Nitro? You're about 25 years late for that." Then I was like, "Wait, they're not talking about wrestling."

Agreed, I should have clarified a bit more to specify Starrcade post-NWA WCW.

Weird thing is, I see articles about Olympians winning all the time, and many of them have spouses watching in person. Why does it matter if her famous one happens to be there? Her victory should be the story, not her famous husband. Do better. We're supposed to be past this.

Clearly, it's working. AEW is becoming an alternative not just for fans, but it's becoming the place to be for young wrestlers too, and not just a stepping stone to WrestleMania. Young wrestlers are viewing it as a good place to see out their careers.

so Kris Statlander can pop up in a Rumble only to get dumped out of the ring unceremoniously. AEW are just over here quietly making the case, with their talent and product, that they belong and that what they do has every bit as much a place as any other wrestling promotion.

AEW doesn't try to be another WWE, but they also don't ignore the hype and background of a wrestler coming over from WWE to them. They're not trying to "compete" for ratings or trying to get into WWE's good graces so that MJF can get squashed by Randy Orton at WrestleMania or

TNA tried. They were establishing certain elements as notable milestones, but everything fell off the relevancy radar completely after guys like Hogan and Russo came in. AEW's team are clearly learning from all those mistakes, though.

sort of legacy until AEW. I don't think WCW ever tried, really. Yeah, Starrcade was their WrestleMania, but it was never built as the "be-all, end-all" to get booked on Starrcade. It wasn't a career maker, it was another WCW PPV with a little more pomp and circumstance than the others.

10.02.2026 02:34 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 3    πŸ“Œ 0

to judge accomplishments in wrestling. They want every young wrestler to believe that the "WrestleMania moment" is the biggest and best thing you can get in wrestling. "Become immortalized" and all that. To their credit, they're the only ones to actually get a chance to establish that

who only stood a chance when established WWE guys like Austin and Angle helped them out. Even TNA today, are being made to look like just another development territory for WWE.

Beyond that, WWE has also established, with consistent booking/marketing, that they're the only metric
