Some peoples escapism is the character who is mediocre, but secretly special and gets everyone fawning over them. My escapism is watching a problematic motherfucker struggle to carve out a slice of happiness in their lives.

How do my OCs beat the self insert allegations? By adopting only my bad qualities. By being justifiably disliked by most the other characters for being insufferable. By having the ego to take on mountains but the inability to do anything of merit.

Ughhh annoying part about not writing realistic fiction is like I have to think of whether or not my fictional world would have the same or similar idioms? Do cats exist in this world???? Would they say look what the cat brought it??? Much to consider
