The stiff upper lip comment & thinking has contributed to more damage than they will ever know

Then that is completely different & totally understand that awful patronising false optimism & yes it’s toxic

It’s nasty & thoughtless so I apologise for my misunderstanding
It is definitely not where I was coming from

You and I are coming from completely different angles over this

Optimism is not denying anything it is knowing that this state one finds themselves facing cannot last forever it is temporary like all of life is
It often in my experience actually leads to finding solutions

Nor in my view is optimism toxic positivity

We are in dire need of optimists
& genuine fixers
Please please keep throwing around bucket loads of hope & optimism

No it isn’t it’s Portugal with her own culture

Once upon a time it was lovely & at certain seasons of the yr it still regains it charm
Once upon a time one could go to the majestic enjoy a coffee and wonder at the architecture … yes 2 decades a go now it’s an insta opportunity and an entrance fee 😢😳

Well having lived there I will say
Not surprised at all
And having had some unbelievably unpleasant & weird experiences with American neighbours there nothing will ever surprise me
I feel like some sort of crystal ball gazer as I predicted this some years ago

Having lived in China people often said to me “ohhhh they will have all your details your biometrics maybe your DNA “ 😂😂yep and so does a few other countries I have lived in
And I can tell you what I was always more afraid of my American neighbours than my Chinese

Sensible advise not a place I want or need to visit

No hope when we have dropped to this level of stupidity 😅😳

Most have never been taught critical thinking
Spend most of your time on social media no matter what your age won’t help let alone a developing brain which isn’t fully mature until 25
Add in barely seeing day light & lack of sleep
What a great way then to control the masses
