Just started THE SCALD-CROW by @gracedalyauthor.bsky.social and so far, so great. Always a nice little surprise when my area gets mentioned in fiction (in this case, the protagonist's college town).

Right on the line between "normal" and "high" is still technically "normal," right? Anyway, it's lower than it was last year, which is the real win. Efforts at better diet and exercise continue.

Finally read @haileypiperfights.bsky.social's THE POSSESSION OF NATALIE GLASGOW today and it's one of my favorite possession stories I've ever encountered. I won't reveal the twist for any who haven't yet had the pleasure but it's such a cool idea. Bravo, Hailey.

My blood sugar and cholesterol are within normal ranges, and I just passed 30,000 words in my rock-'n-roll/inter-generational horror novel WIP. Celebrated with a cold beer and couple of mint chocolates.

I'm just about 25,000 words into the novel WIP and it's coming easier now. I'm putting in 2-3 decent nights a week on it, not forcing any more than that, and always quitting while still "hot" (i.e. before the words run dry). This way I'm always eager to get back to it.
