Police arrest 474 people at protest over Palestine Action ban in London Number of arrests was highest recorded in relation to single operation in at least past decade, according to Met police

Headline should be

'Rapists and murderers of the Met humiliate themselves in front of the entire world'.

Crowfunding, yes.

Have you ever ridden a cock horse to Banbury Cross to see a fine lady upon a white horse? No, see, thatโ€™s why advertising doesnโ€™t work.

Death of a publishing dream: how the Unbound revolution b... The literary disrupters enjoyed great success with their crowdfunding model, signing authors that other publishers overlooked. And then the money ran outโ€ฆ

Iโ€™m surprised the Observerโ€™s Unbound exposรฉ doesnโ€™t mention that all forms of crowfunding have been utterly screwed by the ruination of social media by billionaire CEOs, so itโ€™s no longer a workable model for 99% of creatives. Our audiences were destroyed. observer.co.uk/news/busines...

Guardian Culture routinely deploys their most ignorant and prejudiced airheads to review the art they are least likely to understand or appreciate. Itโ€™s been the same for decades.

Lenny Henry is lighthearted in off-the-cuff solo comedy about suicide โ€“ review When it debuted, Duncan Macmillanโ€™s play felt like a new way to talk about depression and suicide, but in the 11 years since, it already feels less radical

Lest anyone imagine The Independent is much better โ€“ย this person got paid to write for them, and used 'clichรฉ' as an adjective, with no accent on the E.

This is why AI is everywhere. Shit writers who should be legally prevented from creating any form of text.

Wodehouse in Wonderland review โ€“ less than spiffing portrait of the artist as a light comedian Robert Daws stars as the great comic author in this one-man show but is let down by lukewarm humour

Tiny-brained word-spewer Arifa Akbar hates Wodehouse In Wonderland and knows sod-all about the greatest writer of the 20th century โ€“ so rush to get a ticket. If 'Guardian Culture' hates something, it can only be superb. www.theguardian.com/stage/2025/a...

'Clichรฉ' is a noun, 'clichรฉd' is the adjective.

'Cringe' is a verb, 'cringeworthy' is the adjective.

Try harder, folks.

I just want Jimmy McGovern to write a modern version of Beowulf, in which Beowulf is a psycho Tommy Robinson-lover always having loud parties with his meathead mates, and Grendel and his mother are victimised outsiders new to the estate who dare to complain. Go to it, Jim.

They use terms like 'Corbynite' to try to dismiss basic decency as some kind of cult.

But you notice we don't have words like 'Farageite', because we already have plenty of words for people who follow Nigel Farage.

I was horrified when I traced my genealogy back beyond three generations โ€“ it turns out pretty much all of my ancestors from 1900 back were bigots, racists, misogynists and pretty much nationalists, and not remotely woke. Some even tolerated slavery. Wish I hadn't found out now.
