But the thing I find most beautiful about Trek specifically is that it says “The other is actually not the other, we are a part of each other. By understanding the other we understand ourselves. That’s why we explore, to know ourselves by knowing each other.” That’s what IDIC is all about.

If people are enjoying this season of Strange New Worlds, that’s 10000% ok. You’re allowed to have escapism. But the people getting angry at those of us upset at its deep conservative logic saying “you’re thinking too deeply, just enjoy it, it’s a fun scifi show” are being deeply anti-intellectual.
