I've been working on this semi-realistic headshot of this blue jay character from a post I made not long ago about doing more birds.

Here's the sketch and the coloring that's now being worked on.

This will be the last until the final image, which will be posted later this week.

Hmm. Looks like if I don't put in the tag #art, I get no response to this. (And this is why some would like to have others follow them to see more instead of "liking" a post because it has a tag.)

Of course, there might be some who would rather not have too many accounts to follow.

Just got done working on a semi-real Mimikyu.

I used a brush that I used on a plush character last year. I gave the "tail" & cloth a worn look as well.

And since most images of the mon don't have any eyes showing, I gave it one. (show you can tell something is looking out) #pokemon

Also, here is the full concept sketch as well as an alt image with a sketchbook background instead.

Recently did a semi-real take of Shaymin.

But for my take, I gave it a more grass-like appearance and changed its shiny from a teal to a more brownish coloring (like some other grass Pokémon have)

There are plans for one that resembles its official design later.

(Poke GO Comic 2)

This comic was inspired by 2 screenshots I took from Pokemon Go, in which both images involved a large Sealeo.

In the comic, Sealeo is blocking a doorway to a pizza place that both Sprigatito & Wooper wanted to go to. (of course, things happens)

Been thinking about doing some more in this "nature sketchbook" style. (This might also include little details like "names" and other info, like you would see in actual nature sketches)

This would be more of a "messy" sketchy style, not like those with cleaner lines.

I do want to mention that I'm going to do another version of him at a later time. Such as adding in a little more detail that I was unable to get while working on the image originally.

Well, about a week later, and now I'm able to show what I was working on for an art challenge in another's discord.

Their theme of the month was "Disney or Pixar characters done in your style."

Of course, I have many styles. As for the character, I went with Iago in a semi-real look.

Been doing some "nature" sketches of some original animal species of mine.

And while I have already done this animal before. I went and made a younger one of it as well.

I don't have a cool name for the species. Instead, I've been calling them "forest dogs".

As shown in the previous post, Khris now has an updated look. And as that image takes place in the near future, Khris had grown a little more than the last time Selia had seen him.

Here's how his teen looks compared to his younger self. (BTW, Khris is a little shorter than Gwen)

A now young teen, Khris (the penguin) is greeted by Selia, who lands on him after "running" from a nearby pier and then falls asleep on top of him.

"OOF! I missed you, too."

After not seeing Khris in a long time, Selia "runs" to greet him. But due to her size, she instead knocks him down and lands on him. Also, feeling a little tired, she fell asleep. (He's going to be there for a while, it seems)

Note: This is set in the future.

Update to the old sketch featuring Sonya the husky taur. Arcade game playing has been updated a little.

After seeing how well-liked the art of Sonya from ArtFight 2025 had gotten. I decided to go and redo this older sketch (yes, an actual sketch done in pencil and paper)

Funny thing is, artists forget she does have hair, and I have no idea where the hat came from to begin with but I kept it 😅

Meet Ki-D

Ki-D belongs to the species known as "helpers."

Unlike the others, she does not carry a tool-like weapon and is currently traveling around doing her own thing and looking for items for her latest invention.

She is the 3rd character for my next comic series.

Meet Markan (New comic character)

Markan first made his appearance during ArtFight 2025.
Despite how he looks, he's more like a typical dog than a shark.

As such, he is the latest "dog" for this next comic series.
(first one was D.D., followed by "Al", who wasn't even a dog to begin with 😅)

Meet Simon. An artist who likes to hang out and do art.

(WiP Before/After)

Yep. It's the Re-Return of this toucan.

Now, while I do plan on reworking it all, this will be over time.
As for now, I'm just focusing on the beak.

I even went back and looked at some more photos, better-angled ones. And here's what I got so far.

(Rework)

Though it was pretty good to start with. I went ahead and made some adjustments to this, such as the eye, beak, and shading.

And to resemble the backgrounds like you would see in close-up photos of birds. I did the same using my photo.
