Going on vacay for 6 days in NYC in 2 days and feeling the overwhelm badly. Too much to do for work and to get the house in order. Still, excited for all the shows we’ll be seeing.

I have a lot of random songs in my iTunes library that I’m always confused about at first, and then I remember that Starbucks used to give out free song codes. Lots of music I never would have bought myself.

My executive (dys)function has been horrible lately. Can’t focus on anything.

Yay! I really like it, though I still track books read in both. At some point I’ll drop GR all together. I just realized also that for the Bsky handle on StoryGraph, you have to put the full thing with “.bsky.social” on the end.

So, I got a new pair of progressives with updated prescription, and I honestly don’t know if I can wear them long enough to get used to them. Wearing them for any period of time makes me queasy. I’ve been wearing progressives for a while now, but have never had this much of an issue. 🤓

I love Imaginary Authors. You can create your own sampler assortment for a really reasonable price. I honestly love all of the scents I’ve tried. And their names, artwork, and backstories for them are so creative. They layer nicely too.

Just started listening to “Direct Descendant” by Tanya Huff and it has me hooked right from the beginning. Loving the characters and story. But, boy can she pack a lot of info into a short sentence. I keep having to run the audio back to catch something I missed. So good though!

That’s interesting. I had never really thought about this before. On my mom’s side of the family, it was my generation that was the first to go to college. On my dad’s, it goes way back—at least to my great great uncles/aunts. Long history of educators and engineers.
