Auditing a Radical Performance masters seminar at Goldsmiths and thinking about what it might look like to apply a performance PhD now I’m in the UK

I know the process is different to when I applied in the US - grateful for any pointers

Any organization attempting to be inclusive (such as, say, a Gay Men’s Choir) is now being left open to legal challenge and punishment. This is segregation.

As the EHRC refuses to make public evidence for its new guidance, MPs can find out how trans people have responded by asking the Minister

Our friends at TACC have discovered yet more evidence of shocking EHRC cover-up. An FOI request reveals that the EHRC is not planning to publish a report on its public consultation until AFTER its new Code of Practice has gone all the way through Parliament, and is a β€œdone deal”.

When the new Code is laid in Parliament, MPs will have 40 days to carefully scrutinise and evaluate it. But how can they carry out this important Parliamentary duty without any insight into the public’s 50,000+ submissions to the EHRC’s obligatory consultation?

MPs will have no idea whether the EHRC integrated any of those stakeholder responses into its finalised Code – or ignored them entirely.

Luckily, TransActual and TACC anticipated exactly this problem. They asked individuals and organisations to share their EHRC public consultation submissions with them.

The result was a massive 10-volume dossier, which we have delivered directly to the heart of Government.

Any MP who genuinely wants to know the questions, fears and concerns the public have raised about the EHRC’s new Code doesn’t need to sit in the dark while the EHRC conceals its report until it is too late.

They simply need to go to the offices of Equalities Ministers Bridget Phillipson and Nia Griffith, and ask to read the completely uncensored submissions already in their possession.

Graham Linehan’s arrest proves that trans ideology is a threat to us all
The Daily Telegraph4 Sep 2025Michael Deacon

Graham Linehan, the co-creator of Father Ted, was arrested by armed police after making jokes about trans people
So let’s get this straight. If a mugger snatches your phone, the police will do nothing. If burglars ransack your home, the police will do nothing. If your daughter is raped by a grooming gang, the police will do nothing.

But if you write a social media post that offends someone who identifies as transgender, you will be abruptly set upon by five armed officers.

Obviously, it shouldn’t need saying that the arrest of Graham Linehan, the award-winning comedy writer and co-creator of Father Ted, brings shame on the police and makes our country look like a tinpot dictatorship. Nonetheless, I believe that this disgraceful episode will at least have one upside. Because it demolishes, once and for all, one of trans activism’s most subtly pernicious arguments. #TransAgendaClips

Govt have total control over what happens next. They can require the EHRC produce a code that is compliant with the Human Rights Act and the public sector equality duty. They also have a range of legislative options open. If they choose not to act, they are responsible for every bit of harm.

As EHRC leaks a final draft Code of Practice to the Equality Act to the Times then delivers it to govt and attempts to wash its hands of the impact on trans people, its important to recognise and call out the shell game we're in. EHRC will say 'we're just following the Supreme Court judgement' 1/3

We’re hearing that EHRC’s updated Code is now with the Minister for Equalities.

Now, more than ever, it’s critical to write to your MP to get them to pressure her for a debate & vote in Parliament, not for this Code to become statutory automatically.

Please do write; template letter linked below πŸ™

Good to know that trans rights and the safety of immigrants were both flushed down the toilet for no good reason :D

Liberals don't do this shit because it achieves anything. They do it because they want to. Because they agree with the bigotry and violence.

The draft is cruel; there is no evidence it will better protect women, cis or trans; it breaches Labour's manifesto commitment to trans people; it is unenforceable; encourages vigilanteism; and it is clearly inconsistent with the UK's obligations under the ECHR. We will challenge it in court. 2/2

05.09.2025 06:22 β€” πŸ‘ 676    πŸ” 140    πŸ’¬ 20    πŸ“Œ 2

We are aware of the EHRC's briefing to The Times about its draft statutory guidance. The draft is inconsistent with the Supreme Court's explicit assurance (from para 248) that its "interpretation would not be disadvantageous to or remove protection from trans people with or without a GRC." 1/2

The EHRC has just sent its finalised Code of Practice on single-sex spaces to the Equality Minister - without Parliamentary debate.

What you can do:
1. Email your MP today.
2. Demand a full debate and vote on EHRC Code.
3.Consultation without scrutiny is a democratic failure.

111 online

What was your sex at birth?

Female

Male

This online triage depends on knowing your registered sex at birth, not your gender identity.

If you are doing this for someone else, tell us their sex at birth if you know.

We need to know this information so we can ask relevant clinical questions.

If you feel uncomfortable giving this information, or do not see an option that represents you correctly, you can call 111 to talk to a nurse.

111/NHS direct is a joke. Having to misgender yourself to the people there for no reason is outright humiliating. It's designed to put trans people off reaching out for healthcare support.

There were years of surveys that worked on finding respectful ways to gather this information, disregarded.

This is the thing, though: capitalists aren’t interested in the fact that housing people is cheaper, because they profit off of homelessness, and all the downstream effects of homelessness. They are intrinsically opposed to the public good.

Send this to your MP, not to the Ministers. Especially if you have a Labour MP. Tell them you will never vote Labour again because of this and the long list of other terrible things that Starmer is doing.

This is legitimately insane. It's not an exaggeration to say this is actually a full on bathroom ban for trans people because they're banned from using spaces of their sex assigned at birth too!

Every time you see a Labour MP heading to the toilet, make sure to intercept them and demand documentary proof that their Supreme Court-undefined "biological sex" matches the socially constructed gender signifiers in the icon on the toilet sign, and then simply refuse to accept any proof they give

Trans women to be banned from single-sex spaces under EHRC guidance The Equality and Human Rights Commission has been criticised by trans rights campaigners for its response to the Supreme Court’s ruling

"This proposed guidance goes far beyond what the For Women Scotland judgment requires.

It amounts to a bathroom ban for trans people, violating people’s right to privacy in their everyday lives"

It is available to all irrespective of gender, race, disability, age, sexual orientation, religion, belief, gender reassignment, pregnancy and maternity or marital or civil partnership status. The service is designed to improve, prevent, diagnose and treat both physical and mental health problems with equal regard. It has a duty to each and every individual that it serves and must respect their human rights. At the same time, it has a wider social duty to promote equality through the services it provides and to pay particular attention to groups or sections of society where improvements in health and life expectancy are not keeping pace with the rest of the population.

In EHRC guidance that Labour is set to approve, trans people will be barred from accessing toilets, gyms and changing rooms that match their gender.
