I’ve noticed something odd at my book fair events. There’s always someone who picks up one of my books, flips to the back pages, reads the last page or two, smiles at me, puts the book down & walks away. Why? This happens every single book event. Thoughts?

Whenever I go to a book fair, I never quite know exactly which of my novels is going to resonate with readers. These were the top three this past weekend! NOWHERE TO RUN (supernatural thriller), THE MANNEQUINS (horror) and THE HUNT FOR XANADU (supernatural thriller). #bookfair

Any swimmers on here? You know what’s weird? When I swim, I’m supposed to do warm-up laps but my warm up laps are really the same speed as my regular laps, so why am I even warming up? Lol #swimming

Last night I was in a pizzeria & they had music playing that my Shazam couldn’t pick up. I ran upfront & asked them what music it was: Pandora 90s grunge. I pieced together some of the lyrics and looked it up on Google & guess what? It’s The Garden by Pearl Jam! Now on my running playlist. #running

I feel like it’s so important to “work your plan” even when you have a busy schedule. I’m up early this morning so that I can do a couple of query letters and research agents before I start my workday.

I understand this so much. Except based on their wishlist I feel like we DO know each other and then when they reject me, it sort of feels… personal. Lol

I am definitely going to do this when I land a literary agent! Great idea!!!

Lol I’m going to take this a step further. I do think I have something in common with this person because I only send my work to agents looking for the type of novel I wrote. And then when they don’t say no or don’t even want a read, it’s crushing.
