I'm glad you are writing a systematic theology. Just from your work I have read, I think you will make an important contribution. The church needs voices like yours. Also, thank you for advocating for those who are often excluded. It took difficult, pastoral experiences for me to learn that lesson.

I also appreciate his sacramental theology, and his mostly Anglo-catholic spirituality.

I came to him through Keith Ward, whom I love. I had almost given up on systematic theologies, but Keith wrote somewhere that he most closely identified with MacQuarrie. His existential theology rang true for me, personally, in my pastoral experience and especially in my current work.

We should listen to the voice of experience.

Elie Wiesel's book, Night has been banned in one Minnesota school district. This was required reading in my daughter's school. Beware those who ban books! And, don't think they will stop at a point you're comfortable with. You can never be pure enough in a Fundamentalist environment.
