Nicha Cabral (pic), born #OnThisDay in ’34, came out as bisexual at the age of 75 & was one of only 4 known #LGBTQ+ #F1 drivers, the others being Mike Beuttler, who died of #HIV/#AIDS; Lella Lombardi, one of only 2 women to start a pukka F1 GP; & Ralf Schumacher.

There's bound to be many more. It's sad that people don't feel able to be out during their F1 careers.

You're a superb video maker, Lily. Please do what you need to for your life, health and welbeing.

This made me genuinely angry

It never ceases to blow my mind that so many tech, sci-fi, futurism backers ended up swinging so far right. Did they entirely miss the point of the sci-fi novels? That identity, self, personal exploration is something we can nurture and grow? It's like instead they said, "no we like the dystopia."

Every line of this is wrong.

No-one ‘identifies as trans’. They might identify as as male or female and that might differ from their birth sex. More rarely, they may identify with a more complex identity - non-binary, gender-fluid etc.

Tbf Robin, there's some evidence in US surveys that suggest there's more non binary people than binary trans folks. But somewhat like the bisexual population, are often under counted and overlooked. Thanks for the great work you do.

Also: This is what happens in a place where literally every resident is a scientist - LGBTQIA+ people are celebrated. Science is brilliant, when squint eyed wankers aren't subverting it

I'm not sure I'd trust the figures at face value. Much of the industrial data coming out of the PRC is either inflated, or unverifiable.

A university trying to ban scientic information at the whims of biggots, isn't accedemia. It's barbarism.

It's not just the fact that she's wrecked the lives of so many young people - is the pride she has in doing something based upon fabricated "evidence".

If a person or an institution's entire personality is to only talk about what they hate and how they plan to destroy it, with no countering love or hope, they are not your friend.

They are a wrecking ball.

The EHRhas sent a new draft Code of Practice which would lead to the exclusion of trans people from public life.

The decision now is up to this government, will they sign a trans bathroom ban in secret?
