Well, you got me thinking again about that now lol. So I came up with this quick. Was a little divided on the Z... I guess I like the right one better.

Yeah, I only use it for very visible clean images, like on sprite rips or production material. It would definitely have to be thicker for real retro style use.

This is by far the BEST explanation for the 'issue' with NES NTSC color palettes. I finally understand exactly what the problem is and why there is 'no solution'.

I really don't know much about the Genesis library, so things like this I've never seen or heard of, even though it looks cool.

It's disappointing because I loved having them in a more flexible environment, on the go low spec, on the PC high spec, etc.

But, I can be patient too. Eventually they all come to Steam one way or another 😉

Please keep this and various other stuff in mind when EVO inevitably starts “putting money” towards your FGC locals.

It's wild to think that just a year ago and some Windows 11 actually worked really well, better than 10 for a while. And then they systematically destroyed it to the point that I uninstalled it. And that's not including all the bullshit like co-pilot. It's insane, the fall off is unprecedented.

Kubuntu isn't the only one with Wayland, but it was added recently to Kubuntu, so it's something 'new to me' that I didn't have before. The difference is crazy with it.

It's a little complex for me with all the game dev tools I need to work, but so far Kubuntu 25, which includes the better graphics component called Wayland, has solved almost all my issues from trying it previously. Plus with Bottles, Lutris, and Proton, games and apps work better than ever.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention Lutris! Some stuff I couldn't run on Lutris or Steam so I used Bottles. I have all 3 of them on deck 🤣

And yeah, 💯, there's old Windows apps and games that don't run on Windows anymore that Wine does. It's crazy.

So there's a few different ways to run stuff from Windows, so don't give up if something isn't working right away 👍

Chances are it can work with one of those.

I'm determined to stay off MicroSlop, I'm trying hard to make it work 😅

There's also an app called Bottles that can help customize and manage Wine instances / configurations.

So if a windows app needs a certain Wine configuration you can setup a Bottle just for them so it doesn't change the others. Can make as many Bottles as you need.

Wine works way better than it has any right to lmao, it's magic.

Also if you have various issues or incompatibilities, you can always try "Add non-Steam Game" to Steam and launch using their Proton Wine.

I thought my 2012 laptop with a drawing tablet screen was trash, I almost dismantled it, and now it works better than new with Kubuntu25!

Also jail broke and side loaded K25 onto a Chromebook, 5 second boot and open browser on K25 vs literally 3 minutes+ on Chrome OS. Insane.

This is absolutely everything I don't want in an OS. Looks like Win10 is my last Windows, outside of build testing purposes...

Will I have to lock that thing inside a pocket dimension on the network?? 🤣💀

This made me think it would be more fun if the logos slide in from the sides quick one at a time, and when you mash it'll make a cool pattern as they quickly stack up. Add a little sound and it'll be funny. Maybe plays a jingle, each logo is a note. Just thinking out loud.

Was planning to code tonight but I've been Linux theme Vibe Maxxing instead.

Wallpaper is a shader, so it is sharp and smooth.

It was already pretty campy and uncanny in Season 1 I feel 🤔 So it's kinda just a given / expectation going forward?

For me it just feels like part of the expected experience, so I am looking forward to it anyway.
