Hi! I’m about to start a dissertation on learning health systems, which is I guess a health-oriented angle to your field. Happy to chat!

Thank you very much, Europe! 🇪🇺
But: We need safe, decentralized long-term alternatives to avoid these disruptions in the future. In the meantime, #EuropePMC (europepmc.org) is a solid alternative for accessing much of PubMed’s content and more. 🔍 #OpenScience #PubMed #PMC #NIH #AcademicSky

With a Marcos back in power, the spirit that led to that peaceful revolt is being undermined by historical revision and erasure.
May the Spirit of EDSA live on, now more than ever.
How can we regulate AI in health care to protect patients while driving innovation?
LDI Senior Fellows Daniel Herman and Gary Weissman suggest leveraging CLIA, a proven clinical lab oversight program, as a model for AI regulation.

I know today was difficult.
I understand you’re tired baby.
So tired.
You’ve said wtf more times in 24 hrs than you’ve said your whole life. 😮💨
But you can’t quit now. People need your help. You can’t accept this chaos & hatred as normal.
Sit beside me, rest & get your energy back.
I remember the only framework we used for that work was a reporting template. The tools we now have would probably help providers & health systems in analyzing determinants and future needs.
I hope TMFs and community-engaged researchers at #discience24 will soon help address the gap.
One of my first ever papers documented medical needs in a hard-hit community after my country 🇵🇭 braved #Haiyan, the strongest typhoon to ever hit landfall.
Now, as a D&I researcher at #discience24, I now wonder how we could have studied the response then.
Paper here: doi.org/10.47895/amp...
Grateful that #AcademyHealth #discience24 discussed how D&I can help improve response to emergencies & disasters. Excited to see future work that takes up the charge!
Short thread on my limited experience on the topic follows 🧵

My Duke colleague Dr Keisha Bentley-Edwards led a superb @bmj.com analysis on “race, racism & Covid-19 in the US”:

As a citizen of a heavily-impacted LMIC, I wonder if it’s part of the convo to build skill and investment for D&I within LMICs to address health impacts.
Glad you’re here, missed all of you. #HealthXPh 🤗
