Yeah. Kenji uses wires in his action more for fast horizontal, low to ground movement rather than traditional wuxia vertical movement. You see examples of it in his work on the Rurouni Kenshin live action films. He did incorporate more of that vertical movement in Donnie’s wuxia film Sakra (2023).

Watched Writers Odyssey 2: Godslayer, was very fun with good costumes and thoughtful fights where alloes cover each other and ttack enemies during recovery frames. Based on a novel so a lot happens fast but the focus remains on climatic fights and dragon balloons.
