Dr. Xingrui Mou is being celebrated by the Musah Lab at Duke University for his successful PhD thesis defense and becoming the 3rd graduate student from the Musah Lab to achieve this milestone. Today is International Day Of Persons With Disabilities (IDPD)! Duke BME is dedicated to ensuring that our department is an open and inclusive community for all, and we appreciate the perspectives and contributions of differently-abled people as we all work together to address medical problems.

Doctors face challenges in treating Chronic Limb-Threatening Ischemia, especially in predicting intervention outcomes. Our method converts 2D angiography into 3D flow models, allowing for preoperative simulation of interventions. This non-invasive tool can accurately predict post-op flow rates.

Digital twins in healthcare: Revolutionizing personalized medical care Digital twins create virtual replicas of patients to simulate treatments and predict outcomes, changing the way we can approach treatment.
