Padres fan and totally disagree. There’s disappointment about last year’s performance, but he threw a no-hitter the year before. He’s an interesting dude to boot. I haven’t heard a single Padres fan say anything that would be characterized as “wild hatred”. The fan base has always liked him.

His mom, Jen, was my friend and sadly died on June 11th after battling breast cancer for five years. She was 54. She should be here.
