If you work for a company that does business with other companies, try to steer them away from places that use AI. If you are looking to outsource marketing, avoid places that use AI!

Stop supporting businesses that use AI. We need a collective list of places that are safe, that have publicly said they won't use AI.

Its getting hard guys, I know. And its getting harder and harder to tell.
But these assholes won't listen unless it hurts them in the wallet. And we cannot sit idly by and let them get away with it.
Stop supporting people that use AI.

If your boss brings up AI, we need to convince them its not worth it. If we buy a product, we should take extra care that ads or packaging for it didn't use AI. If we share a video or photo online, we need to make sure it isnt AI first.

Probably shouting to the void again, but i really need to get this out.
We need to be more vigilant in our workplaces, in our purchases, and in our social media about not supporting AI.

Hey DHL, its 2026. Let me pay at fees digitally or with card when the post delivers something. Why do you only accept cash? Fuck off with that nonsense.
No one carries cash anymore.

"They killed my wife. I don't know what to do," the woman says through sobs in the footage, with a damaged SUV visible in the distance behind her. "We stopped to videotape, and they shot her in the head," the woman cries.
"We have a six-year-old at school," she says, almost unable to breathe, as a chaotic scene in which federal officers prevented at least one doctor who was on the scene from assisting the shot victim unfolds. "We're new here," the distraught woman says in despair.

You and your wife drop your 6-year-old off at school. You just moved here. You see ICE terrorizing your new neighbors. You film them, as is your legal right. Your wife complies with orders. She is then shot in the head. You still have to pick up your child later today.

This could be you.

It involves flipping the page, and iirc nothing else in the game requires you to flip an object you pick up. The "difficult" fingerprint scanner puzzle was done well because there was a good setup with easier versions beforehand.
The bathroom code puzzle does not. Its a one of a kind.

However when you do figure it out, you feel like that scene in Airplane! where everyone slaps their foreheads. Its not a bad puzzle, but i think it needed a pre-puzzle(?) to help players think about the physicality of paper.

23.12.2025 10:56 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

..in an "outside the box" kind of way. Also, the puzzle is on a piece of paper, and I don't see any real person actually writing it down in the way it was. Any sane person would have transcribed it differently.
Just my opinion. Its a little obtuse.

23.12.2025 10:56 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Game devs can do a lot to try to give players hints, and in all honesty, this puzzle gives you all the information you need. It even literally points you in the right direction.
But this puzzle requires you to use your brain a little, not in a logic way but..

There's a puzzle in Routine that's giving players major problems (I was stumped for a little while too, until I walked away and let my brain ponder it for a while) and you can tell on Reddit that its stumping quite a lot of players.

Puzzle design is hard, yall.

I just saw someone yell β€œthey’re just using it to generate ideas!”

And

I hate to say it

But if you work in the ART DEPARTMENT and you need a death machine stuffed with your colleagues’ work to give you ideas

Quit.

Snacks not being usable in combat, when I would need to use them, makes them basically non-existent for me. Trying to remember to use them before a fight just doesn't work, and often you get thrown into combat without warning.

The new Steam Input works great for AC 2, you just need to do some re-binding (the triggers aren't detected as a valid input) so you lose two functions, but overall its not a loss to give up first person button.
You used to have to use Xinput app to fake a 360 controller, which still works.

18.12.2025 11:04 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

For anyone still playing Assassin's Creed Liberation HD in 2026 on Steam, using a controller WILL work, but only if you use the Xinput application that worked years ago for using an Xbox one controller for AC 1 and 2. For some reason, Steam Input alone doesn't work to detect a controller.

There must be some sort of trauma related to playing A:Isolation because its a recurring nightmare.

But I had to stop playing Routine for a while because of Entity A (and he hadn't even spawned yet, the atmosphere was so tense).

14.12.2025 08:25 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

So after 12 years of waiting, Routine has finally released and holy shit, we were not prepared for Entity A.

They don't show up until Chapter 4, but it puts the Alien from Alien Isolation to shame, horror wise.

And the Alien lives rent-free in my brain.

It wasnt spooky per se, but definitely creepy. Great atmosphere. Can't wait to play the second.

The spooky game i decided to play this October was Little Nightmares. Finally 100% it last night and man, what an experience.

I love that it was short with re-playable chapters. Longer games are just a slog at the moment, so this was a breath of fresh air.

Also, Jin's father is killed by Templars. "May your death benefit all beings" is straight up Father of Understanding stuff.

You cannot have an AC MC without having a family member murdered by Templars, and GoT has that 100%.

Playing the original and the graphics are astoundingly great. There are odd frame drops tho when a transparent material is on screen, which is odd. Wonder what's going on there.

Playing it in 2k with upscaling and frame Gen thru lossless scaling helps performance.

24.10.2025 08:32 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

But Observers idea of horror also tends to just be.. loud sudden noise?

It gets old quick.

Instead of letting the game speak through context clues, dread, and unease, which would last longer.

Also, the stealth section was laughable compared to alien isolation.

24.10.2025 08:32 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

I love how dark Observer gets compared to Cyberpunk. At least, tone wise. Sure, there's fucked up shit in Cyberpunk too but its covered in neon lights, laugh tracks, and a sunny atmosphere.

Observer is constant night and rain. Really sets the tone better.

24.10.2025 08:32 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Playing through Observer for Halloween at the same time as re-playjng Cyberpunk2077 is.. an experience.

Both were made by Polish companies, but are dystopian cyberpunk. Obv, Cyberpunk is am RPG while Observer is a linear horror.

24.10.2025 08:32 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

From what I heard, it was just a concept and those get thrown out all the time.

However, that would have been a fantastic setting for an AC, especially if they used it to actually revitalize the series stealth and modern day.

21.10.2025 05:41 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Assassin's Creed was one of the most interesting science fiction + historical games of all time.

Ubisoft has squandered that.

Now they have mediocre "history" fantasy games at best, with none of the sci-fi.

19.10.2025 11:46 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 3

Valhalla wanted to do this, but had way too many characters, too complicated plots, and bombard you with all their missions at one time and then nothing for 100 hours. By the time they come back, you forgot who they were.

26.08.2025 10:02 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

The side characters in GoT was also done extremely well. There are only like 4 of them, so it's not overwhelming. They're all super different. And their missions are trickled out throughout the campaign, keeping retention. They're also relevant to the main story, keeping them fresh.
