I think ballot questions are really not the best way to make policy, but there’s a reason we’re gonna have so many on the ballot. There’s a reason the audit question passed overwhelmingly. People are deeply frustrated, and not just the advocates pointing this stuff out. The dam is gonna break here.

We just have to do better here. It’s not ok that bills are being rushed to avoid public review or criticism. It’s not ok to pit clean energy and energy efficiency against affordability. I expect this stuff from Texas Republicans, not Massachusetts Democrats. This shouldn’t be controversial to say.

Not the main point but Councilor Culpepper claims that the bus lane on Centre Street in West Roxbury was removed. 1) There is no bus lane there. It's a bike lane added after a vehicular lane reduction to enhance pedestrian safety; 2) it was not removed & overall is working fine for all street users.
