The fact that Hama saw it all the way back in 1982 is amazing. His early Cobra reads like a playbook. It's a shame he really doesn't get the credit he deserves.

One of the things that made Hama's original JOE comics age better than you'd think is that Cobra isn't some foreign entity. It's a Real American Villain.

There is only one person who should be writing the script for the next GI Joe movie. His name is Larry Hama.

Honestly, a completely farcical Joe movie might actually be good. Make it a clear cut comedy.

Thinking about the GI Joe Action Cop and the soldier figure with the ICE-recruit standard skull-print facemask, and remembering that 15 years ago they made a Cobra Shock Trooper which was just straight up a riot cop with Cobra logos stuck on it
