Two adult Sleemeriens (an alien species on earth), Abigail and Aristotle, discuss about Lizzie, a younger Sleemerien, who struggles to follow orders. Abigail kneels down to talk to Lizzie, and makes a bold question. "Have you ever killed anything before?".

Behind Abigail, there is the silhouette of Lizzie's biological twin, Chris. They nod anxiously, signaling to Liz that she must give a positive answer. Lizzie is a bit confused, and shares with Abigail that she does kill flies, which by itself is nothing, but she also includes that she tortures them as well. Abigail keeps her cheerful demeanor, not particularly impressed with Lizzie's answer. so she asks if she would be able to up her game, and turn her cruelty towards something more lovable. A puppy, for example.

Abigail turns to Aristotle and says "This one's fine. You are wasting my time" which leaves Aristotle speechless. Not only did he not expect something like that coming out of Lizzie's mouth, but he is also confused about how it indicates that Lizzie is a functional member.
