At my doctor’s yesterday, I caught her up with my current everything. “Wow you’ve lost so much weight!” She says.

Me:

I fear I’ve had a string of bad luck with my right arm in general. I jammed my thumb and had to wear a thumb brace/wrap for a couple weeks. Then I popped a blood vessel in my middle finger (same hand). And now off/on arm numbness. Set me free from this curse, I have enough problems to deal with.

It’s really frustrating to be so held back by chronic nerve pain. I’ve got a fun new wave of symptoms that keep me from doing my job efficiently lately. I also feel like I complain about it a lot for someone who, on the outside, looks physically fine. But I hurt nearly every single day. Annoying!

I’m angry, I’m upset, I’m overwhelmed. But I still want to help.

I don’t post often about my own personal activism because it feels… performative? I don’t know. At the same time I get inspired by seeing what others are doing. I’m stuck inside with this weather, but I made some calls and found new organizations to donate to. That’s the very least I can do today.

I stopped using sticker mule absolute ages ago because of the owner’s bullshit. The owner is still on his bullshit, so if you use sticker mule, maybe don’t. StickerAPP is a good alternative, and also there’s most likely a local sticker printer near you (Sticker Ninja in Portland, for example).

God. I have been in crafting burnout for two years. I finished three costumes for Magfest this past weekend and it feels GOOD.
