Lol Avatar 3 is 3 hours and 15 minutes long.

Someone in a certain twitch chat was adamant the game wasn't making 2026 and you better believe I will throw this in their face.

Gambit being a healer in Marvel Rivals is so out of pocket I might actually play season 5 lol.

My thoughts on "nostalgia" would make some people that follow me upset lol. I don't care if other people are all into recreating their childhood or whatever, but it's not something I'm particularly fuelled by. I'm not immune to it, obviously, but I don't really seek out retro or rewatch/replay much.

Season 1 ended with them in a good place to kill off all the bad characters and end the Peter Pan stuff and they should reallllly do that.

I don't know anything at all about Dragon Quest II, but everyone has been saying it's a major improvement over the original NES game, so I will probably play it next.

I mean, compared to the other bosses, he has a clear behaviour that he does under certain conditions, so you will kinda pick up on it and learn to exploit it. Way too many of the other bosses you need to rely on good RNG. Normal is probably more forgiving, but on Draconian you will just die lol.

Overall, I did enjoy the game. It's bigger than the original, without being too big and there's some good Dragon Quest stuff in there. However, it has some big difficulty balancing issues and I think people just picking it up to try out Dragon Quest with the "short game" might get stomped out.

Also, playing on Draconian becomes an issue because you start to fall too far behind in terms of level and gold that you can't overcome it with just good strategy. So, you kinda just cost yourself time and playing on normal and fighting the bosses on hard seems like the actual good way to play.

The only thing I wasn't really a fan of was the sigil stuff that they explain poorly and make it seem like a "well you can also do this stuff, I guess...if you want" and it's got an even more hidden mechanic to it that they don't tell you and it's insanely important. You NEED it for Draconian.

I just want to say that what you have to do to get the "true ending" in this game is one of the most hilarious things I've seen in a game in a long time. You literally have to do it the entire rest of the game once you make the choice to go for it and I wish I saw the pitch meeting for it. It's good

Now, I like what they did with the story. They did a good job of expanding on it and I did get a good sense that they were in the midst of the end days and that the hero was really their only hope, but he'd need a lot of help. I felt it was the right amount of adding stuff without overdoing it.

A big issue is that you will often find yourself in a situation where you will die next hit, so you need to heal, but as soon as you heal you get hit and you're in the same situation again. So, you're reliant on RNG far more than you'd like to be. Just having 1 char vs many enemies is problematic.

On Draconian difficulty, you will just straight up die when the game wants you to. Either from a back attack, or stuff like the dual Dragon Zombie bosses that can get 2 turns each and there's nothing you can do to live. I only won that fight because they missed 6 attacks in a row. Wasn't satisfying.

I finished Dragon Quest I 2D-HD Remake. Final save time was 14:46 for all achievements. Well, it's certainly way more engaging than the DQ III remake was. I enjoyed this, but I don't think I would have if there wasn't an autosave or boss rematch. The last 6 or so bosses are just nonsense.

Nevermind, Dragonlord is actually really easy when you die enough to him and learn how he behaves lol. Just lose a lot, then it's easy!

Alright, just have Dragonlord left. Can't wait to see what kinda bullshit this fight is after the last 5 bosses have been a special kind of bullshit. The game actually has some weird hidden mechanic that they kind of tell you about, but not in a YOU NEED THIS TO WIN kind of way. You need it to win.

Based entirely on that State of Play the Japanese game industry is fucking cooked lol.

lol if it wasn't for Destiny 2/Bungie, Sony's gaming revenue would have been up 23%. Marathon is probably going to be a disaster unless it's really really well designed. They'll probably be folded after that. Considering how both Halo and Destiny ended up, ideally, Bungie woulda stayed making Halo.

The double dragon zombie fight sure was a choice they made. Haven't seen BS like this in a long time lol.

The ending was also unsatisfying for reasons I won't go into for spoiler reasons. I dunno, this season just lacked a strong mystery and we didn't get much Pirie & Mint teaming up. Karen having a full team this time didn't amount to anything either. Shame because there were some good performances.

I also finished Karen Pirie season 2. I really enjoyed season 1, but season 2 was kinda rough. This show is 3 90 minute episodes and it ran outta steam by the end of episode 2. It's so painfully obvious what's going on and the setting change in episode 3 didn't feel necessary or rewarding.
