I’ve actually thought about this song often when I see ICE ripping people from their homes, cars and schools.

It’s my home state as well so it’s surprising that most residents aren’t even aware of what’s going on around them! On the bright side, I’m thankful that this app is bringing fellow Ohioans together to discuss these things.

I served jury duty a few months ago and when I told my fellow jurors that Ohio was the most corrupt state in the US they were stunned and had no idea. A few googled it to confirm. Mind you this is even in a Democrat leaning area.

Being pro worker appeals to all and is a game changer in states like Ohio. Many democratic politicians have lost touch with that mindset or do not speak on it well. If you can reach the people and have a message that resonates we could see change in the state.

I am a big fan of Sherrod Brown but he was not aggressive in getting front of people to know what he stands for compared to a man who stole wages from his employees. The unengaged voter had no idea who each one was but received more mailers of vague accusations of Brown’s of wrong doing.

Ohio is running on gerrymandered maps that the Ohio Supreme deemed unconstitutional several times. The GOP majority kept running the clock out until it was too late for new maps. The system is beyond broken here. Then let’s look at the millions poured into the campaigns of JD Vance & Bernie Moreno.
