Yes, I reckon some did. We were advise to get them to make it part of a larger number they knew ie. Use 4 numbers of a phone number, or a child's brithday.

When and If they lost their wallet or card, we couldn't do anything to reimburse. we'd Just cancel the card and reissue and tell them "Don't do that". A lot were completely cleared out. Was heartbreaking.

Having worked for 3 financial institutions, the number of people who wrote their PIN on the back of their card was staggering.
