this anime is insane. One minute its an ecchi harem anime about catgirls constantly getting their tits out and the next its a war drama where theyre infiltrating a terrorist organization and commandeering WMDs

sound effects are really good to help this kind of thing too yeah!

bonus points if they use the text advance sound system in unique ways like changing the sounds depending on the mood or to enunciate things with more importance (I cant think of an example but I'm pretty sure this exists)

I think games that have unique text advancing sounds for each character do really well to please both sides. Like you dont have to listen to every noise that comes out of sans undertales' mouth for each line but the sound definitely helps define his character
