KC City Council fails to pass ordinance for KCATA funding; bus service could shut down The Kansas City Area Transportation Authority warned the city council that service could grind to a halt in two weeks if it doesn’t get the funding it needs.

KCMO passed an ordinance this spring to fund KCATA, but KCATA appears to have failed to comply with the contract for funding from the city, and now may be out of money in 2 weeks.
