Hyun Sook's mom flexing her muscles while wearing a "health medallion" made of plastic and gold paint that she bought from a conman for 4000 dollars.

A couple years ago, Hyun Sook's mom was diagnosed with dementia. And for a couple months, its effect was that she turned into street tough that wanted to beat up everyone in town.

Congress being a check on the President is not something that should be an afterthought or used as a reaction. It should be the default setting for Congress.

A disconcerting number of high status people upended their worldviews because other people did not affirm that status in the way they thought appropriate.
And social media accelerated this because for high status people it is often the experience of people telling you that you are wrong.

Stop.

Collect yourself.

Take a deep breath.

Exhale.

Unclench your jaw.

Stretch your fingers.

Relax.
Relate.
Release.

If just getting up is all you can do and thats okay too. But try to find something resembling your own peace. I hope you have a decent day.

I've been wanting to redesign 2PO for a long time. It's simply too difficult to produce considering all what goes into making those comics. I keep telling myself that once I hit 1000, I'll make it more sustainable. So until then, I still love it, but it's a bit of a trudge.

Giving Obama the Freedom of Dublin is grotesque and cowardly
There's a long and noble Irish tradition of giving medals to people who don't need them. Mimicking our one time oppressors, we're good at pomp and pageantry. terrible at timing.
And in this grand tradition of ceremonial sycophancy, we've now decided to eve the treedom o!
Dublin to Barack Obama โ€” the
same Barack Ohama โ€นhose nresis
dential legacy includes a kill list, expanded drone warfare, and now, more recently, a silence on Gaza so deatening it practically registers on the Richter scale.
Now, before someone starts wav ing a Hope poster in my face and singing "Is Feider Linn', let's bel clear: this isn't a character assassination. Barack Obama is, by many accounts, charming, intelli-gent, a skilled orator, and less overtly monstrous than some who followed him. But if the bar for receiving Dublin's highest civic hon-our is simply "better than Trump, then let's all take turns.
This isn't about left or right. It's about right and wrong. And giving Obama the keys to a city that prides itself on solidarity, social justice and neutrality-
- a city only
a century since its own liberation from colonisers, a city that once shut down its port in protest of apartheid -
- is a moral absurdity
that would be funny if it weren't so grotesque.
Let's talk about Gaza. Right now we're witnessing an unquestionable genocide, one that even conservative estimates rank among the worst atrocites in recent memory. Tens of thousands dead.
Children buried under rubble.
Journalists and doctors targeted Obama's response? A few muted bromides about "the complexity of the situation" and the usual plea for restraint warm platitude you'd expect from someone looking to protect a Netflix deal, not someone once hailed as the conscience of the tree world.
Remember, this is the same man who, while president, gave Israel the largest military aid package in Us nistory-
- S38bn over 10 years.
The same man who watched as Gaza was pummelled in 2014โ€ฆ

I've barely used Bill Clinton in the entire nine year history of 2PO, but in my context, he exists in-between history and current events. I don't have a lot of hot takes about 1993. I was in second grade.

Panel 3: McKinley, now with cool sunglasses, says "Ride that feeling, baby." Second term Grover Cleveland says "Great. Our trade policy is run by vibe-coders."

For the rest of the Two Party Opera comics leading up to number 1000, I should only feature Presidents that haven't gotten their redesign yet.

Get ready for a lot of Eisenhower and Franklin Pierce.

What if we had the technology to turn any movie into Shakespeare in the Park? It's indoors, crowded, with no care towards cinematic composition, and it costs over $100.

Watched "The Sea Hawk" with a few of my Pericles cast tonight to catch the spirit of adventure before our first rehearsal on Monday.

Highly recommendโ€” beyond the propaganda, the movie has everything: big sea battles, Errol Flynn, my new favorite depiction of Queen Elizabeth, there's also a monkey!
