It is weird, and it makes no sense, but that's Kojima in a nutshell to be fair XD

You can even kind of see it in the Twin Snakes even though it's less pronounced, probably just because of art direction. But action figures made for The Twin Snakes and MGS1 also have the furrowing.

Snakes headband furrows into the skin. It's a detail you can see in multiple games featuring this design of him.

Capcom should have just stuck to the formula that made the Care Center area work so well. Grace gets the big open exploration of a facility or area, and Leon has more linear segments. Instead they basically delete Grace for a solid 2 hours of game time.

It's a shame, but I do still think it's good.

Putting Leon in the limelight for the last half of the game and relegating Grace to basically a side character halfway through the game was pretty unfair to the character of Grace. She deserved more gameplay at the end.

There was a TON of fanservice and pandering. But I kinda loved it.

The biggest problem with the game is how much the first half and second half feel like completely different games. Leon's big section later in the game is just too long. The game worked better when it was Grace first, Leon second.

I've had some time to think about it a bit.

RE9, as a game, I think is fantastic. The latter half of the game starts to run thin but how I played it was I took a break before that big second section and that helped my experience with the game immensely. But even I felt it got a bit old.

I literally saw a 'fixed' mod the other day for a game and the only thing it did was give a female character heavy makeup and bigger breasts.

Which is like, sure man, but the character design wasn't bad. This isn't a 'fix'.
