I have so much to say about this book. Mostly that it’s just so self indulgent, which wouldn’t be a big deal if she could keep her fingers out of ongoing drama that has absolutely nothing to do with her actually

So I’m reading all of that Margaret Atwood memoir for *reasons* and my main thought is, dear god this book needed a proper editor

During the Q&A after, you could tell that Maron’s emotional vulnerability has meant a lot to the folks in the audience, particularly men who’ve struggled with mental health and depression. He’s not perfect, but he’s a great model for the constant struggle to counter toxic masculinity.

Last night I went to a VIFF screening of the doc Are We Good? About comedian and venerable podcaster Marc Maron followed by a Q&A with the director and subject.
