Dr. Cameron Lacey has spent years studying how psychedelics might help treat depression and other mood disorders. Last week, he became the first and only psychiatrist in New Zealand allowed to prescribe psilocybin, the hallucinogenic found in “magic mushrooms.”

Someone probably cleared the snow the day before, because there is a pile of snow twice as wide and about 1.50 meters high on top of the phone booth. In the background, another light source illuminates the white surroundings and makes them appear orange. A strange atmosphere between cold and warmth, with round snow shapes and a telephone box that seems to have landed in it like a UFO. It's a harsh winter on the island of Hokkaido, but at least ... you can make a phone call.

Overdue book returned to Colorado library 37 years later

In 1987, someone checked out the book "Psychedelics" from a library in Colorado.

37 years later, the book was returned with its original library checkout card, and a yellow post-it note that read, "Sorry so late!! It's been a long strange trip!!"

I think it has a lot to do with '"auteur theory" made popular in the US in the early 60s by a famous critic that talked about ideas of French New Wave directors; basically said you can see certain styles and themes across the careers of directors even as they worked within the studio system.
