The barn was a great setting, and I figured the window just had to go for a dusty/hazy look in editing, though it would have been interesting if I'd remembered to bring the smokeninja to try to get a practical effect.

The details of the b&w conversion here definitely matter. i played with whether the blue should be treated as a darker value or not, and ended up boosting the red and yellow channels compared to the other channels.
