It's my birthday today and our neighbor made me cookies?!? I was so thrilled. The cookies are fantastic, for sure, but just the fact that they took time out to *bake* for *me* is just . . .really heartening.

I am thrilled to have more Lookouts stuff to read. I think it's the juxtaposition of this big, grim forest with these kids who are just kids (but also *not*) and the idea that we/they don't know everything about the forest - I don't know man it's just real good.

One of the things I love most about Hades/Hades II is that the games never make you feel bad about dying. Failure is just a part of it. You get more story, get to talk to some npc's and then head out into the dungeon again. I guess that's just the nature of a roguelike, but Hades does it extra well.
