I’ve just realised that I haven’t listened to BBC radio 4 routinely now for years. I stopped the news programmes including the today programme over a year ago when they became unashamed mouthpieces for Farage.

I was a lifelong radio 4 listener. I wonder how many others there are.

That mirrors my experience precisely. BBC Radio 4 a constant background to my day from about 1981 to 2016. The news content has poisoned the whole network for me. Occasionally tune in to R4 Extra as a stress free alternative
