My @sportscardspost.com account is new on both platforms, I get way more engagement here. X is just a broken pile of crap. I even Premium plus on X and get almost no impressions… likely because I’m not pushing political discourse.

It's unfortunate that since 2016, politics has ruled social media in general. It's tiring.

Not everything you said here is true. #Bluesky does have hashtags. Not everyone here is a Democrat voter. Will people go back to X? Sure.

Those who engage in political garbage warfare will get bored and return to the platform that farms that content.

Others have noted it but I will too: The big reason Bluesky is so hot right now is that the people who add value to social media - the frequent posters in specific fields - are here now, talking to each other and creating the "spectator value" that draws users and attention.

I guess I never mentioned it, but I am no longer at Fansided. I am very grateful for the 2 years with them. I just outgrew the place and wanted other opportunities.

Yes, they are, which is why nobody uses them. I'm not sure why the crowd who dislikes BlueSky is calling this place an echo chamber. It's not.

I have found topics unrelated to politics on here. I can't say the same for the other platforms.

I don't know if I want to label the entire platform as all those things. That's just me, though.

My issue with X is it's literally broken and not useful. Posts go unseen, and they are full of bots. BlueSky is just better... even without all the features.
